Cannondale bikes are expensive...if you saw one from CL, go ahead and negotiate the price...good luck.

A Cannondale might be worth $450. Some are worth $4500. The question is..is THIS Cannondale worth $450. I'd say no. I would skip it. It seems to be a bit overpriced for a bike that old with miles on it. If this is the kind of bike you want, go to a local shop and look at the Trek FX series. They are great versatile bikes for enthusiasts.

I'm not sure if this will help you but I bought a new Cannondale bike 2 years ago and paid 700.00 for it.
I've put 3-5000 mile on it and it still looks new and rides real nice.I think I could sell it for 450-500 dollars and like I said it is a real nice bike.I don't think you'd regreat getting it.Plus the money you saved you could get lights, tires,or whatever for the bike.
Have a great day and happy riding.

NO, this coat is definitely not worth $450; at first before I actually saw the picture; I was thinking in my head that it might be some hardcore snow jacket with lots of different layers and special materials to keep you warm but....after seeing the picture; I think either Timberland made a mistake pricing the coat or it is just simply not worth that much. For something that looks similar, you can search online for The North Face, Colombia, or something similar at a ski/snow shop and will still cost you less than this.

Brand new, the 2007/2008 version is $800 US.

You decide whether something that is older (and has miles on it, and whatever damage the previous owner has done to it, plus whatever preventive maintenance was done during its ownership) is worth $450 ... compared to brand new from a reputable dealer for $800.

He's not even offering it at half off ... how old is it? And how many miles is he claiming?

For abike like this that has seen potentially heavy use, I'd expect about 1000-1500 miles per year. For light (recreational) use, I'd expect 300-600 miles per year.

I don't know the price new but with tons of mileage and (you imply) it's an '02 I'd likely pay $300 tops if it's in good shape.

Like someone else said here for that cash you can just about buy a new bike very much like this one.

I wouldn't pay that much for a bike with that parts spec on it, even if it's a Cannondale. There are lots of bikes with better parts on them for the same or less money used. Keep shopping.

new ones are $800. $450 seems a bit high, i'd go $300 max
