The key word is "wants" to buy it back. You don't have to let them - insist that they fix it.

i have a friend who had the same problem but when the light came out in her car the air bags explode suddenly and crash the car, and the dealer has to give a full new car for it plus a lot of mad money
if the dealer will buy you the car is because it can be really serious, and to avoid law sue they prefer to get rid off the car and give you another one so if your safety what is on the game right now, if i was you ill sell the car right away because the air bag things can be really dangerous
i read sometime before a guy who drive a Hyundai exel grab a hole on the road, the air bag explode and kill his son on the passenger side (he has the air bag lights on too)
hope you take this seriously and promptly

Let them buy the car back, or trade you for a good one. If the problem is so bad they want to buy the car, it's probably bad enough to be a real pain for you to have fixed. Remember, all the time the car is in the shop, you're having to get around some other way.
It really sounds like your dealer is trying to do the right thing here.

Give the car back. Let them replace the vehicle with a model exactly like the one you bought.
If you don't I'll assume they will make you sign some paperwork saying that you refused their offer for a replacement car and if anything goes wrong with the airbags, they will not be held responsible.
Why would you want to keep a car that the factory is willing to replace for free.

They will have to fix anything covered by warranty. So yes, you can make them fix it. I don't see how it would cost them anything but the time to do the work. the manufacturer would cover the parts needed.
Even if they DO lose money on it, that isn't your fault that they sold you defective merchandise.

Your call...If under warranty, you can demand that they repair it, regardless of the cost. It may be that they anticipate an ongoing problem, they may know someting you don't about that car. Consider all options, swapping for another might be the best.
