Well that can vary, it depends on the people. Because you can be going and just be " talking" which means you are just getting to know each other. BUT! If the person ask you to go out with them, or any other way that you want to remake that it does general mean that you not single. If your confused, you should just bold out ask. Its not good to be in the dark, always ask question if you don't know the sure answer.

It means you are going out with someone. If the two of you are in a serious, exclusive relationship then I wouldn't consider either of you single...however some people consider anyone single unless they are actually married. To me, that confuses others as to your availability on the dating market.

You are single until you get married.
Married = Unavailable
Single = Available or Unavailable
From the best of my understanding if you are just going out then you are still available to date other people. However if you call each other BF or GF then you are unavailable to date other people

here the word "single" means no matrimony relation with other gender....
" single" can be defined as before marriage and after marriage ..... "
before marriage certainly it is called " single "..... though the person is having any relation in secrete ....
after marriage if by some means the person leaves the matrimony with the other gender, then unless the person is again married openly still the person is called single.....

No, silly. You have to actually MARRY a person to not be single. If you are dating someone that is so possessive he's not wanting you to see anyone else, then you are being exclusive to one person, but you're not married. Other than that, you are still a free woman.

No, you are single until you are engaged, married, divorced, or widowed.
Think of it this way, if you're filling out a survery, what would you check....even though you're "in a relationship" you are still single.

It depends if your just talking then you're pretty much still single but if he/she said you both are bf and gf then no you're not single.
