I got a ticket 5 years ago. Prior to that I had none. Been driving for 20 years. The judge dismiss the whole thing so that I didn't have to pay either court fees or speeding ticket. I just recently got another speeding ticket. Is that ticket from 5 years ago still in the system even though it was dismissed? Could I do a PJ since I never had one?

If it was dismissed it's gone. It's worth trying to get a reduction at court if you have the time to take off work. I have no idea what a PJ is so good luck with that.

If it was dismissed it will not show up on your record. Unless it was issued in the same jurisdiction (city, county, etc) they would have no way of knowing it even existed. So yes, you could do the PJ thing.

No. The ticket is most likely gone if the judge dismissed it. Peanut butter & jelly is a perfectly good lunch. Talk to the prosecutor about reducing it to no points with a fine.

It depends on what state. Most states purge their ticket info of minor traffic violations (i.e. speeding, parking illegally, etc.) after five years. Since yours was rejected, I doubt it even made it that long. I'm sure you'll only have the recent ticket on a records search.

If you want to check, most states have an on-line search service to find out what's on your record (It'll cost you though).
Check your state's DMV website.

Go into court wearing your PJ's?

Why Not - It worked for Michael Jackson.
