You have to daily cleanse and moisturise your skin. Because its rough, you probably may have dry skin i recommend you should try using coco butter based moisturises which is excellent for dry/rough skin. Try the Lotus brand - that's very good. But don't forget to cleanse and moisturise everyday!

I would recommend a really good sugar scrub. It would be less drying to the skin than a salt scrub. You could even make you own with olive oil and brown sugar. Just mix to a consistency that you like. Use it after you wash and rinse you body in the shower. Massage on in a circular motion all over. Then rinse the sugar off and blot the skin dry with a soft towel. Rub the excess oil into your skin and enjoy smooth skin.

Make sure you are taking in 8-10 8 ounces glasses of water a day to keep you hydrated. Using cocoa or shea butter on a daily would be good to. There also skin supplement vitamins out that could help. Also check with your doc to make sure you are not deficient in any thing in your diet or that their is not a health issue that is causing it. Try exfoliating first and then go from there if the problem persist.

(This is good for the body, not the face as it may cause a break out).

If you are having rough skin.. You need to exfoliate, to slough off any dead skin cells to reveal healthy new skin... I don't like to mess with anything fancy/expensive and I have sensitive skin so I have to be careful what I use on my face. I like to about once or twice a week use baking soda mixed with my daily facial cleanser... It's cheap mild and a good overall use for an expired box of baking soda... You can use it all over in the shower and even mix it with your shampoo to get any residue from conditioner/styling products... Good luck

Vaseline leaves the skin oily. You may have something besides rough skin. Go to the doctor and you might even be recommended to see a dermatologist.

The easiest thing to do is apply virgin coconut oil after taking a bath/shower and drying yourself. It is easily absorbed by the skin. You can add a few drops of essential oil of rose, jasmine or ylang ylang to your virgin coconut oil to give it a much better smell. To every 100 ml of oil add about 10 drops of the essential oil of your choice. In addition to this you could also take with your food 2 to 3 tablespoons of the oil daily, it will give you a lot more other health benefits.
Cut down vegetable oils (omega 6 rich oils) and increase intake of omega 3 rich foods, like wild salmon, organic cold pressed flaxseed oil or just ground flaxseeds in your meals.
Best regards,
Nasser

Every night, before sleeping, apply a moisturiser for oily skin to your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wipe off with damp cotton. In the morning, apply a light moisturiser before stepping out. if u use a fairness cream then apply moisturiser b4 applying it.
