Did the itsy bitsy spider ever make it to the top of the water spout?

Evidently. I doubt if there was a place to spin a web at the bottom, and the spider is very much alive!

Yes. It was a Thursday. Darren (the spider) planted his little spider flag at the top of the infamous Water Spout. He did require, however, the help of three 'sherpa' spiders to carry his provisions. Darren would like to thank all those who have followed his quest, lo these many years. He now spends his time on the spider lecture circuit, inspiring young arachnids to not give up on their dreams.
