Greed and vanity. This earth has the capability to feed twice the population on it's surface, and yet, more than half of us are starving? 10,000 children a year die from diarreah in Africa, and yet others spend 2,000 dollars on shoes. Go figure.
As for the Hate part, religions and governments play the major role in shaping a person's view of his fellow man.
Humans have shown that they cannot rule over themselves and other humans (Satan claimed that we could know right from wrong and become gods ourselves in this respect) and it is HIGH time for God's Kingdom to COME!

It is truly sad indeed. Each culture blames another for the problems. I see hate and suffering in each culture so obviously that is a lot of bull. In the end, as long as individuals always think of themselves first it will never get better.

Jess,
The world may have hate and suffering, but without that, people will not appreciate Love and caring and nurturing. It is a world of polar opposites that depend on each other for existance.
Light cannot exist without darkness. Left cannot exist without Right. Up cannot exist without Down. Good cannot exist without Evil. Yin cannot exist without Yang. That is the way of the universe. Accept it and be thankful for your blessings.

Hate gets the Adrenaline going which makes people feel good. That why we see so much violence on TV and in the news media. People not want to see a disable child learn to ride a horse. They like to see the horse stomp the child so they can get mad about it and feel the adrenaline rush.
Guess adrenaline is an addictive drug we must all overcome if we are to have love and peace.

wow
just look around
Games that teach kids to kill without remorse...which they do in schools several times a year now
Planned parenthood and Schools promoting things like passing out condoms but not at all FOR abstinance programs
No one treaching our youth simple morality
The government forcing God OUT and lack of discipline IN
You have to have the good influence to offset the bad stuff.........We ain't gettin' the good influence much any more.
And the bad thing is.......it's only gonna get worse until our politicians realize how stupid they are being.
Bottom line.....I do not think anyone was ever damaged in any way by a few people saying a prayer in school and things like that.

We live in a world of such hate and suffering because this world is being run by Satan. This is now time for our faith to be tested. How are you doing and don't forget you have God to turn to.

Because this isn't heaven. This world has a balance of hate and love. The hate is much more noticeable because it is something we don't like, but just as sure as something horrible is going on in one place, something miraculous is happening in another.

The answer is found in the Bible. It teaches us that the nature of man is desperately wicked. Sad to hear, but true. While man is capable of a general goodness, it isn't enough to eliminate the basic sinful nature, or save him/her from the penalty of sin.
Man isn't a sinner because man sins, man sins BECAUSE he is a sinner. It's our nature. Jesus has provided Himself as our way out for not only a better life while we are here, but also eternal life later.

Because many of us believe that material existence represents the ultimate reality and don't see the bankruptcy of the materialistic enterprise itself. Consumer culture and the commodification of violence. To rehabilitate the fortunes of mankind, we must turn to the teachings of the expert in material, human, and spiritual affairs, individually and collectively, the universal educator for to day.
