Good morning Chloe...God wrote down His laws so we as His children could follow good morals and ethics through our path of life. Now God wrote down His Ten Commandments to guide us to be without sin. For instance, the Catholic Church believes that there are two sins that one can commit. A venial sin and a mortal sin. The Venial sin is a sin that is commit ed unintentionally, without knowing. God will forgive if you are sincere about asking for His forgiveness. Now a mortal sin is the most severe in which one is breaking one of Gods Commandments and was intentionally done. Such as stealing, murder, adultery or slander. These are the sins that one needs to ask a priest to ask God's forgiveness. If one doesn't seek out a priest when one com mitts a mortal sin then it is said that one will be condemned to Hell for all eternity. God knew that His children would commit sins or mistakes since God is the only Perfect One. This is why He wrote down His laws. God is a forgiven God if one is sincere in asking. We are not perfect but God doesn't want us to keep repeating the same sin either. I imagine He also has His limitations on how many times He's going to forgive for the same mistake or sin. Just use good common sense and follow His basic laws. Have a very blessed day.

Well in Romans 3:23 Paul states that all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. That is not to say continue sinning though. The reason that Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins was so that we will recieve grace, an unmerited favor so that when we do sin we are forgiven. Our main focus as followers of Christ is to repent from our sins, repentance is not simply asking for forgiveness but asking for forgiveness and turning from that sin. In Luke 9:23 Jesus says that any man that comes after Him should take up his cross daily and follow Him. Basically as Christians we are to take up our cross (resist the world, resist the devil and resist our own sinful flesh) and to do these things, stay reading your bible, stay in constant prayer, speak with Godly people who won't push you to commit certain sins, If you are invovled in a church then get invovled in programs or try to build relationships with other christians. Hope this helps, God Bless!

Feeling bad is what turns us back towards Him. He looks at you and says, "I do not condemn you, so go and sin no more." You obey God they way you live your life - one day at a time. You obey Him one precept at a time. It is not the easy route, but the reward is far greater. If you love Him, you will obey Him, and since He loves you, He will forgive you when you make a mistake. When the mistakes turn to purposeful sins, then there is no more sacrifice (Heb 6:4-8)

You cant obey the law completely. It was never given as a way to get to heaven. It was meant to show us that we are not perfect. When you do non-habitual sins, ask for forgiveness and move on. Confession helps restore your fellowship with God and that is what he wants. He wants to have a relationship with you. The closer you are to him, then the better you will recognize temptation and be able to turn from it. Dont beat yourself up for messing up, God is not so you shouldn't either.

The Word says there is none righteous no not one. I had the same feelings you are having until I was brought to see that under the Blood of Jesus our sins are washed away. We are all born sinners. Your concern over this matter keeps you humble in the sight of God. That is precious to Him. When we accept the Gift that Jesus Gave us We accept the cleansing power of His precious blood. The word also says that God knew you before you were born and He chose you. He knows we are going to sin and He made a way for us to be "in right standing" with Him.

We, humans will always sin. ..it is our nature- because we are weak. We need to avoid sins...but when we do sin we need to remember The Creator and ask Him for forgiveness.
Obedience to The Laws of The Creator make us better creatures and helps us to avoid much hardship and heartache. The Ten Commandments are a good place to start.

Well, we were all born with a sin nature when Eve ate the apple. We cannot live without sin, however we shouldn't take God's mercy for granted. If we sin, then we ask for giveness, but dont sin and then say well i guess its okay cuz i asked for forgiveness. You should always try to stay away from sin, if you pray for yourself everyday to stay away from temptation before it comes, then you will, but you have to surrender to God and say that you can't do this on your own!! You will be able to stay away from temptation, but only with God can you overcome it!

Gods only law is Love (per Jesus). That includes the need to love yourself as an expression of God. Sacrifice the guilt and self condemnation. It's not Christlike and work towards filling your heart, soul and mind with Love.
Ask to become more loving and God will most definitly grant you this power.

That is the human predicament. Paul expressed it this way:
"For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin." (Rom. 7:19,24,25)
He suggests the power of God as the solution:
"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure."(Phil. 2:13)

As humans we can't obey Gods laws. Even the disciple's had problems with Gods law. That is why Jesus died for our sins. Keep your focus on Jesus, and live your life for Him. Jesus will help you grow closer to Him.
