all the info is public so dont let anyone tell you its a matter of national security - how silly!
Army established Camp Gordon Johnston at Carabelle.
Northeast Florida (40 miles from where i live) Naval Air Station Jacksonville.
Army’s Replacement Training Center, known as Camp Blanding, is located near Starke.
West Palm Beach has training facilities for both the Coast Guard and the Army.
Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale
Miami and Key West also have bases
Tampa and St. Petersburg areas were vital sites for the training of Army pilots. MacDill Air Force Base (where i was born) is active to this day.
Naval Air Station Melbourne . The U.S. Naval Amphibious Training Base at Fort Pierce
Ocala, Lakeland, Avon Park, and Arcadia were also the sites of civilian operated air schools that trained pilot cadets.
Southwest Florida saw the establishment of several Army Airfields, usually with auxiliary fields of their own, at Sarasota, Venice, Punta Gorda, Fort Myers, and Naples. Allied pilots were trained at Sarasota, Venice, and Fort Myers. Clewiston provided a location for the Riddle Air School.

There are currently 11 active military installations in Florida.

Air Force Bases
Eglin Air Force Base - Valparaiso, Niceville
Hurlburt Field - Fort Walton Beach
MacDill Air Force Base - Tampa
Patrick Air Force Base - Cocoa Beach
Tyndall Air Force Base - southeast of Panama City

Army Posts
Program Executive Office - Simulation, Training & Instrumentation - Orlando

Coast Guard Bases
USCG Station Destin

These are all the military bases I could find, It does not appear that there is an actual Army base based out of Florida just Army Schools & Simulation Centers. Check out the linck below for more info.

The only true Army base that I am aware of is Camp Blanding, its a reserve base, but there are active duty stationed there.

MacDill AFB is in Tampa, it has joint units on it.

BTW, none of this is classified, it is public knowledge of what units are where in the states.

...there are no Army bases in Florida... there is, however, Central Command in Tampa FL (that's where the BIG shots are and "most" of the services get their marching orders from)
The U.S. Coast Guard, under the Dept. of transportation and Homeland Security, march to a different drum.......
