Growing majorities of Muslims around the world are convinced that 9-11 was a conspiracy to frame Muslims.

They can't fathom that Muslims would do such a thing -- the exact sort of Muslims who blow up children and kill helpless captives.

Around more than 70 percent of Egyptians, Jordans, Syrians, and other quasi-free speech Islamic nations are convinced that Muslims had nothing to do with 9-11. Madrases and Imams spend day after day spreading the lie, and of course people believe it when they don't hear or want to believe the truth.

Problem is, after the extremist Muslims are done with the rest of the world, they will come after the moderate Muslims, next. (As they are doing in Iraq) And then where will you be?

It seems obvious that the peope who carried out the 9/11 attacks were Muslims and thought they were following Islam in attacking America. Of course they are not representative of all or even of most Muslims, but they were still Muslims.

Similarly, the leaders who invaded Iraq, Bush and Blair, are Christians, and Bush even said "God told me to invade Iraq". That does not mean that all Christians approve of their actions, or that invading Iraq is in harmony with the Christian religion.

As for framing Islam as terrorist, it does seem to me that there are subtle moves to do that, coming from a number of different sources who have various agendas and reasons for doing so.

In the case of America and it's allies, the reasons have nothing to do with Islam's opposition to immoral activities, and everything to do with geo-political goals. It is not Islam as a religion that they are against, but Islam as a political, force that may oppose their foreign policy interests. They will support Islamic states and Muslim dictatorships as long as these pay hommage to them, but will label as a "terrorist" and oppose anyone who does not bow the knee to their power. In other words, it is old fashioned imperialism. The tactics they use are also the same old ones: divide and conquer, proxy wars, political intrigues, gunboat diplomacy, and the like.

Another reason is the need to have a bogeyman for their citizens to fear. Now that the threat of the Soviet Union and Communism has receeded, the West needs a new evil enemy for their citizens to be afraid of so that their politicians can better control them.

the 9/11 terrorists were Muslims, all right.
Islam is the fastest growing religion because Muslims out breed anybody else.
Maybe If Islam would forbid the murder of non Muslims, 9/11 would never occur, But Islam promotes violence as a way to Achieve Muslim dominance

Just because YOUR country doesn't have terrorists doesn't mean none of them do.

No one framed Islam. Most of us understand that NOT all Muslims are terrorists.
Christianity forbids the same things (except alcohol, we're allowed to drink in moderation). So why wasn't Christianity framed?

It's attitudes like yours that lead to MORE terrorism, because people start to believe that al Qaida was innocent. They most definitely were NOT. And I know for a fact that these countries train/trained terrorists:
Afghanistan
Pakistan
Saudi Arabia
Syria
Jordan
Sudan
and many, many more!

Islam has been hijacked by non-muslim terrorist. So who framed Islam on 9/11 six years ago? I am sorry but you are mistaken, and I will point out the error in your beliefs that leads you to make this claim. I would like to direct your attention to one of the most important factors, when referring to any of the Abrahamic religions and that is FAITH. The reason faith becomes so important, is because no one can produce concrete testable evidence that religion is true. No one has ever recorded a conversation with God, no one has ever brought back a piece of heaven from a near death experience and no has ever physically felt the actual hand of an immortal being upon them. Even religious people will admit to this. I want you to tuck away this nugget of knowledge, because it is a pivotal point to my argument later on. Because God sometimes speaks in a figurative manner, a practitioner must study the holy text of their faith in an attempt to understand what God would have us do. I don't think religious people would disagree with this either. Now if we look at this big picture, you have an imperfect being, studying text of which some are figurative and some are literal, with out a guide except his judgment to help him understand it. Being imperfect, those beings are bound to make mistakes. How do we decide who is right and who is wrong? Since religious people have no concrete evidence, they have to rely on how they emotionally feel about the situation. Basically, they have to have faith that their interpretation is correct. One man interprets his holy book as saying, it is fine for him to commit violent acts in promoting his God. One man interprets his holy book as saying, it isn't fine for him to commit violent acts in promoting his God. They both rely on faith, in judging their view correct. Does this make one man any less of a devout religious follow than the other? No it only makes them misinformed. This is why we have different branches and sects of religion today. So for you to claim that the terrorists, involved on 9/11, are not Muslims is arrogant. You are making a claim on faith, which isn't very reliable, since we are all imperfect beings. You stand just as much a chance at being wrong as the violent hateful Muslims. Do you see how this works and why following any religion without absolute concrete evidence is dangerous? Then you slander other people, who could be just as, if not more dedicated to the pursuit of their religious duties. Now because of your arrogant slandering judgments, you have caused a division between peoples. Instead of this, shouldn't you be trying to convince them that their view is incorrect and bring peace to everyone involved? Do you see how this only snowballs into something that only causes more problems. All the while religious people claim to be promoting peace and love of their fellow man. What a slap in the face when you really take a closer look at it. In conclusion, you are wrong and the image of Islam has not been hijacked. They have just as much a right to be called Muslim as you do. The only difference is that one of you has poor judgment. A religion is only what it's followers make of it and if you really wanted to prove Islam to be peaceful you would form a different sect. Seeing as this has not happened, many just assume you follow the violent hateful version of Islam. Do you blame them when you have done NOTHING to distance yourself from the violence, other than make claims? This is the reality of the situation, regardless of what you wish to believe or convince others to believe.

Islam has indeed been hijacked by non-Islamic terrorists. The problem is, the Wahhabi doctrine of hate is spreading. Although most Muslims I know condemn all terrorism, there are some here in Birmingham who accept the message that is being given to them. They condemn my culture, without really knowing it and say that imposing Sharia law in the UK is the only way to have peace. Needless to say, I'm against this point of view.

To you I ask, please oppose this point of view wherever you find it. There is no peace down this path, only bloodshed. Oppose those would would oppress the culture of tolerance in the UK.

We see here a great example of the cognitive dissonance so prevalent among Muslims.

He cannot face the evil of his religion...so he denies, denies, denies...mixed with arrogance over arbitrary lifestyle choices...typical Muslim conceit.

Two days after 9/11, I had an Egyptian shopkeeper say to me, "ISRAEL did this! Think about it! Who would profit the most from this?" You holier-than-thou Muslims make me sick.

1. Islam wasn't framed.
2. Forbidding these things has nothing to do with 9/11.
3. Islam is not indisputably the world's fastest growing religion.
