when I read this, I just wanted to stop and ask God to hear your prayer, that He would wrap His arms around you and give you the sense of protection you once knew.
I also wanted to tell you, even David, the one God loved so much because David was after His heart, even he went through times of feeling alone.
When I feel the well of my faith is running dry, I drill a little deeper. I think you're doing just that...looking around and seeing His power and strength around you.
And then when I really start feeling that I am loosing my grip on holding on to God, I remember, if I was in a fast running river, and my surviving depened on me holding on to God, I'm not going to make it. My strength won't let me hold on for as long as I need to. But I know at the same time, He's the one holding on to me, and knowing this truth, helps me all the way through.

Revelation 2:4-5 says "Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place."
you have forsaken your first love-- i believe this is your case
remember the height from which you have fallen-- just take few minutes out of your day to sit down and remember, why did your relationship with God go wrong, how was it when you and Him were close, what did you feel, what happened in your life.. im not just making these things up, i've been through this too.
repent-- im sure you know what this is. you say you're sorry for what happened between the two of you, confess whatever you did wrong, and just let Him know how you feel, that you dont wanna be without Him anymore.
and do the things you did at first-- when you first came to Jesus, did you go to church more often? maybe you read the Bible daily, or memorized verses.. or witnessed to your friends and family not only through the words, but through your God-fearing attitude of life as well.. you could also scan through the books of matthew, mark, luke, john, and acts if you want, and see what some of the people did when they repent (thats just so that you get a general idea)
I hope you fix up your relationship with Jesus. It's hell without Him, and on the other hand, with Him it already feels like heaven.. Wish you all the best, God bless you!

Well, He knows your heart better than you do ! Faith comes through the Word of God, and so to read the Word in a humbled spirit will get you places. To return to the "favour" of the Lord takes only to cry out in your heart, and be obedient to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
It is sooo good that the Lord is moving you toward this repentance, because there isn't much time to get a right standing, and do the things God has called you to do.
There are some really good Christian friends here on 360, for prayer, edification, and strength.
I will be praying for you...

Hold on tight- it is worth it.
Lord I pray with Benny that she will give thanks and remember what You have pulled her through in her Life -it is a journey with ups and downs as long as we get back up and press through. "We may fall but we get back up" Lord Give her her Joy back which is her strength in You. Touch her Spirit and let her know "You will never Leave her nor Forsake her" Let her be able to sing even if she doesn't feel you then begin to soften her heart and repent and rejoice for Your Mercies are renewed every day. Thank You Lord I need It- All the time as well and as we all grow and connect to one another in Jesus' Name You will be Here in the Midst of us.
AMEN!

Gunslinger had such a great answer. I have something for you too that I KNOW will help you. This is what helps me all the time. It is a promise that God gives us....and you can take it and claim it for your own.
"And He said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee; for MY STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS!"
2 Cor. 12:9
That, friend, is what can give us the courage to go on....we are NOT strong by ourselves...and the devil wants us to believe we cannot make it. He is a LIAR! We CAN be strong in Christ because He promised...believe that! We cannot go by our feelings.....we have to just make a choice for God...and then obey Him in His strength. He will help us...it is a learning process....we are a work in progress.
He already knows your heart....just put your hand in His.
I will pray that you will see this.

He has never left your side. You are feeling weak but He is ever present in your life. Not for one minute has He left you. He knows your heart and your struggles. Ask Him to surround you today with people who will strengthen your faith. Ask Him to open your ears and eyes to his Grace and Glory. Be prayerful and silent so that you will feel Him near you. I will pray with you. Go to the word......read passages on faith. Lift up your worries and concerns to God......then let them go and revel in his love.

All the heroes of our faith have had these same feelings, just look at the recently published letters of Mother Teresa. Remember that love and faith are not feelings but verbs. Live your faith. Do good works as they are evidence of your faith. Faith without works is dead faith.

King David said it well after he had sinned against the Lord
"Create in me a clean heart oh God, and Renew a right spirit within me, cast me not from your presence and take not thy holy spirit from me, restore unto me the Joy of my salvation"
Good prayer! I would advise praying this one.

You need to repent first and ask forgiveness. Then pray and read the scriptures everyday. He wants us to need Him. We have to make the effort. We all feel this way at times. Just get yourself back on track. He is waiting for you.

It's there...but more importantly, Jesus' love and faith in you is there and will never fail. He keeps loving us even when we stumble; he picks us up, dusts us off, and sets us back on our feet again - even knowing we will most certainly blow it over and over again!
