VHS format to DVD format?

Question

I need to transfer a home video on a VHS format into a DVD format and at the same time add a backround music .How do i go about in doing this and what equiptment will i be using.

You need a PC with a video capture card and a DVD writer.
Then you need a movie editing program, like MS movie maker.

- capture the video in the hard drive
-do the edits
- burn it on a DVD.
