The actual Quote is - "Time is precious, but truth is more precious than time."

This was told by Disraeli, Benjamin (diz-ray-lee)-

An English political leader of the nineteenth century. He led the Conservative party of Britain (Tories) in the 1860s and 1870s and was prime minister twice. He was a political opponent of William Gladstone. Disraeli strongly supported the extension of British colonies and had Queen Victoria proclaimed empress of India. -

Do you mean "time is precious"?

I think it has been said in many ways by many people. One reference to time as a fleeting thing is from the Bible. So I don't know if you will be able to find an original source for such generic quotes about time, unless you have a much more specific quote. I hope this is of some help.
