The only time a balif would come into the situation would be at court, for a hearing. Not paying a credit card can lead to judgements on your credit report. This is after a period of time when the creditor would be calling you, and asking for payment. Wage garnishment may not be out of the question. The best thing to do would be to make your payments as long as you can, and if you can't, get with a service to see if they can remove the item from your credit report. The credit card company would first have to get a court order to seize property in satisfaction of the debt. The bailiffs (or the sheriff or the marshal, depending on jurisdiction) will get involved in enforcing the seizure order.
