most people in this world are accepting of other beliefs, wether it be Christian, Jewish, Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist or whatever else. Surely it is much more important to take each person as you find them rather than be against people for their religion?

The big difference in the MUSLIM and CHRISTIANITY faiths is that to the MUSLIM....the KINGDOM is here on earth. In Christianity, the KINGDOM isn't here...it's with GOD. Christians tell others about salvation and if the other person doesn't want it, the Christian has done his/her job. Jesus even said, if 'they' don't want to listen, shake the dust off your sandals and move on. The best witness a Christian can be is to live the life Jesus taught.
In Islam, if the listener doesn't want to follow Islam, he needs to die.
With the One True Christian God, He has given humans the ability to choose Him or reject Him. In Islam, there is no choice...either ACCEPT or your life is forfeit on earth. One human cannot CONVERT another, that's the Holy Spirit that does that. One cannot FORCE another to believe. Either accept or don't.

If you believe that there is only one God, then you must believe that all other religions are following a false deity, that is common sense.
Muslims believe that they have the true religion, now if that is true then one day all the world will be Muslim. The christian bible teaches us that one day the heavens and the earth will again be united as in the beginning.
So individually what we should all be asking is,
"am I convinced that I know and follow the true religion?"
I do not "accept" other religions, but I do respect another persons right to decide for themselves.

It's not just muslims who want to convert people to their religion. Most other religions do to. A good example is christianity. They're always trying to recruit people to their religion. And unfortunately religion has always been used as an excuse to not like a person or a country, all throughout history. It's a way for man to justify his wars and make him fell better - There's less guilt if you say I did it for god, rather than I wanted to.

Because Bin Laden & his followers believe they are the only ones who are right and will not respect or tolerate other religions.
The Koran says Moslems should respect other religions so most Moslems do not share the views of Bin Laden & other Muslim Followers. .

Christianity accepting of other beliefs!?!? Is that supposed to be a joke? More people have been murdered in the name of Christianity than probably any other religion, including Islam.
All religious people think that everyone else should think like they do, because they are so engrossed in their own belief system. Some people are just more fundamental than others.
Eventually though all religion shall be vanquished!
Onward Atheist warriors!!!

He's an extremist. If you get down to it, it isnt even the religion he really cares about, it's his need to rule and control. That's what is so sad about it. Religion is the front for this whole damned war, but at its heart has nothing to do with it. It's about fanatical control freaks, and the blind need to be controlled of his followers. Much of the fanatacism of religion comes from the pure terror people feel at the idea of being wrong about their faith, and thus negating their existance. You can see it all over America too in fundamentalist christianity.

What I want to know is Why do we give these Nutters airtime...next time Bin Lah Lah - brings out a Video - send it straight to the 50p basket in Woolworth's..
Ordinary ever-day Muslims should get wise to these Megalomaniac Mullahs.. if they truly want peace - they should do what they do in the Mosque and live normal everday lives like the rest of the religions..

Because their book of rules says so. It also says they can't go against the book.
Now in Christianity Jesus shows you can use logic and the book to get around restrictions in the book and still be in keeping with the book.
In short, Jesus says there can be exceptions to the rules or a way to get around the rules without violating the book.
In their book that does not exist unless the book specifically says something.
And in saying that I've established that Jesus was the first Protestant. A reformist. A self interpreter of the word, with God's blessings.

The same reason Christian Spaniards forced Filipinos into Christianity. The same reason for the fight between Chiang-kai Shiek and Mao Zedong.
