There's a number of programmes and music videos that is on the interactive service of Virgin Media - is it possible to be able to record them onto VHS (like I would a programme on a normal cable channel)?

I vaguely remember trying to record something when it was Telewest, but the picture kept fading in and out and thus unwatchable when viewed back on video!

There are some programmes you can record and others you can't.

For instance, you can't record from 4OD, but you can record on-demand programmes from the BBC channels.

The ones you can't record have an inbuilt safeguard against recording, which drastically lowers the quality when you try to play them back on video (the fading effect that you saw) and won't allow recording to DVD at all, .

I've never tried to record music videos, but I don't think you can record stuff that you have to pay to see.
