I think that too many people have already forgotten. This could very well happen again in this country. The anti war protesters will be the first to cry out why didn't someone do something. I too would like to see our troops come home safe, but not at the expense on our nation and freedom. Americans need to remember this day and the fact that we didn't start this war, the terrorists did.
God bless America. God bless our freedom.

I haven't forgotten; I remember with extreme clarity sitting in my little home, pregnant and barefoot as I watched our country go under attack. I watched as the building where my former coworkers collapsed, and cried along with the rest of the country.
I remember rubbing my swollen belly and wondering what kind of world she will have. I remember thinking of all the pregnant wives of the men who died who would have to raise their children alone now. I remember that in the days following I viewed the world a little differently, and I didn't like what I saw. And I remember thinking of revenge, and wondering if my child would have to pay for the sins of our fathers.
Yeah, I remember.

I see on the news today that there are some people saying that 9/11 was so long ago that families of the victims should just "get over it" that we should all get on with our lives and forget it.
By that reasoning, we should quit celebrating Christmas Easter etc. since Jesus Christ was 2,000 years ago ... we should get over all that God stuff since it obviously is irrelevant to today, and we should quit celebrating July 4 since it was 200 years ago that America became Independent, that's ancient history.
The reality is that there are events in history that are important to defining who we are, what we stand for, and everyone goes through grieving process different ways. Some families will never get over what the Holocaust did to their ancestors.
"Getting over" some events in history can be an invitation to not being prepared to try to prevent them happening again.

Thank you.
I have not forgotten. I remember 9/11 every day. I began flying the flag on 9/12, and fly it every day, and each day as I raise and lower it I think about those who died that day.
Politics aside, this is a day for Americans to come together.
