No not at all!!
Most of the dogs people pay large amounts for are puppy mill dogs from petstores and from backyard breeders where there was no concern for genetic health. Basically the same with stray mutts no precautions taken for breeding. In most cases people are paying the exact same they could pick up in a shelter or rescue. People don't realize "papers" are not valuable. SOmeone "says" its pure and they pay for it. With all the health problems associated with the same mutts in the shelter.
I get pampered pets where owners die and I get neglected they may not all have the same "issues" there are different ailments for different living conditions. THose living on the street are still very prone to liver and kidney diseases from not having a proper diet and "pampered" pets are pronbe to the same via treats from owners. Not much different than a dog eating out of the humans trash cans.
I really don't think you can say "mutts" or "pampered" dogs are any healthier than the other. However; it is a fact altered animals are the healthiest. Wether they eat out of a silver bowl or trash can.

By pampered, I hope you don't mean given a poor diet by being fed from the table, not being obedience trained, not given exercise, etc. Otherwise, I think the stray is much more likely to not have been given regular medical care, may have parasites and poor nutrition (depending upon how long it's been roaming loose). Also, a responsible owner is going to do their best to prevent the dog from straying in the first place, although there are always dogs that manage to escape or get lost and become strays. The same responsible owner is going to provide for the health needs of their dog, so overall I would suppose that the indoor dog is probably going to be in better shape than the stray.

No, a stray dog that is receiving no medical care, eating trash etc, is generally not going to be healthier than someone's well cared for pet. Perhaps you are referring to the belief that many people have that mixed breed dogs are often healthier than some pure bred dogs? Unfortunately, this is sometimes true due to indiscriminate breeding by puppy mills and back yard breeders who feel that any two dogs of the same breed can be bred with no attempt to prevent the perpetuation of problems within a breed.

No, stray dogs are not healthier than dogs kept inside. A "stray" dog is exposed to diseases, can be malnourished, can be attacked by other animals or people, hit by cars, et cetera. There's nothing healthy about that at all.
But your question said "with breed." A stray dog is not the opposite of a "breed" dog. There are plenty of purebred dogs that end up on the streets, in shelters and with rescue groups just like there are plenty of "mutts" or mixed-breed dogs that are healthy and well cared for.

Not necessarily. I'm sure you're thinking that a "stray" dog - one that roams free and lives by his wits and hunting skills etc. is romantic and somehow "natural."
Actually, that's not the case. Strays - whether urban or rural live on average only about 4-5 years - if they're lucky. They fall victim to communicable diseases - parvo, rabies, etc. and parasites - fleas/ticks, heart worms, round worms, etc. and starvation. They are also subject to being struck by cars, shot with fire arms and are often poisoned and trapped as nuisance animals.
A "pampered pooch" is more likely to receive proper food, medical care and general husbandry than his "stray" brothers. And on the average live a considerably longer, more healthy life as well.

No. A stray dog has to find its own food-such as garbage-and does not fulfill its nutritional needs.
They also pick up a ton of fleas and worms, and since they are strays that also means they are not getting preventative medicine.
Stray dogs also can get diseases easily, since they are not owned by somebody who gets them vaccinated.
What do you mean by "dogs with breed?"
Purebred dogs can become strays just as easily as a mutt.
Living in the house and being taken care of isn't pampering.
A pampered dog is one that gets carried around in a purse all day and only drinks expensive bottled water, wears clothes, has no obedience training, and is spoiled rotten.

No, I don't. Stray dogs are not receiving the proper medical care that my dogs are getting. My dog won't suffer from fleas and ticks, nor risk heartworm either because I treat for these things. A stray doesn't get that luxury.
Um, but I don't "pamper" my dog either. She earns everything she gets, including play time.

In some ways maybe, they are not subjected to being dosed with vaccines but they do not lack some necessary health care and preventatives. Like heart worm prevention, flea treatments ( not the harsh kind either, that stuuf is poison ) and proper nutrition. All dogs need their original vaccinations but not the overkill. When I did have outdoor dogs they were healthy as any dog. They had their puppy shots and that was it, they had their yearly rabbies shots and good food. But they were never ever sick, had no heallth problems and were happy as could be.

Stray dogs do not have the benefits as being as healthy as owned dogs. If you own a dog, you (hopefully) take him to the vet, get him his shots, flea/tick medication, and heartworm medication monthly. Stray dogs don't get vaccinated, so therefore they could be infested with fleas and ticks or get sick a lot easier than owned. Also, they don't have a proper diet. So no, I don't say that they are healthier.
