I mean it seems like when things are going wrong in a persons life it is Gods fault even if the chose their path. It's always Gods fault, why do people do this? I mean do they expect him to come down on a cloud and make it better.

Actually some people do choose to be homeless, there are people out there that would rather live on the streets than work. It's societies fault for this though when you are suppose to earn 30,000 a year and half of that goes to taxes. Not Gods.

Because it's the natural reaction of an unregenerated person.

We are all sinners in need of Christ........but the non-believer has this notion that God is the cause of all bad things.

Silly non-believers......

God makes all things perfect......sin is what has corrupted us here on earth.......not God

Prayer does not neccasarily mean putting your hands together and closing your eyes, just by saying something like "i wish for things to get easier" isn't that still a prayer? Blame is also a way for people to try and reach out at times but its caused by not recieving adequete help in the first place.

If god is supposed to be omnipotent and benevolent then there is no known reason for "him" to not help people. It is hard for people to accept a god like this would let them suffer.

After all nobody choses to be homeless. Although we have free choice we have limited control/if any over the consequence of our actions.

It comes from the habit of placing human qualities upon God. Man creates a God so human in quality that It must have It's revenge upon man. What God created is Perfection and if we are not seeing this we have chosen a different view and it is no fault of Absolute!

It is easier for some to blame God rather than to pray and ask Him for guidance. I have found many Christians do the same thing. When something goes wrong they say God is 'testing' them. Then they say- ''well God knows I am going to fail it anyway.' It is not God who is testing them, but the Devil trying to get them to switch sides. Best thing we can do is to pray for them. Peace

That's strange - they believe in God, but haven't taken the time to get to know Him. God cannot micromanage our lives for us without taking away our free will. If you don't like the way things are going, pray. I also think there's a lot of truth in "God helps those who help themselves."

One hand helping accomplishes a thousand times as much as a thousand hands clasped in prayer.

P.S.: First, you advocate 'praying' as opposed to whining... then, you berate people for expecting god to "... come down on a cloud and make it better." Well, if you don't want god to "... come down on a cloud and make it better", then WTF are you advocating praying for?

You make absolutely no sense whatsoever. But, of course, that is to be expected. Nothing about Christianity makes any sense.

primoa1970... I am truly grateful for people like you. I can always count on them to pop up with something that supports my contention that christianity requires gullibility, irrationality, willful ignorance, self-delusion, intellectual dishonesty, hypocrisy and drooling stupidity... statements such as: "... but the non-believer has this notion that God is the cause of all bad things."

ROTFLOL... look at that... non-believers (people who do not believe in gods) blame god (the invisible, magical sky-fairy that they don't believe exists) as the author of all bad things.

I'm curious... how are you able to 'think' like that without having your head explode?

Well, people LOVE to place blame. I think it's human nature. When we place blame, it would sound foolish to blame an inanimate object. It would be rude and disrespectful to place blame on someone who doesn't deserve it. That leaves us with the only option, which is to blame God.

First of all there are many indications that god will perform miracles if you have "mustard seed faith", but then there are waffles that he just works for the good through us.

Personally, I find it useless to pray to or to blame a non-existent entity.

Because if God is omnipresent and all-powerful, then he would be responsible for all events in the history of man. He is as equally responsible for all good things as he is responsible for all the bad.

You can't have it both ways. You can, however, come to the realization that there is no god.

I agree with you, its time people took into account their own mistakes and took responsibility for them.
