For a BA, not much math is needed, but for a BS, they have to take calculus.

Curses! You've discovered Botany's dirty little secret! Of course now, the crack team of Botaninjas will have to hunt you down and "collect" you, to be pressed flat and put on display in a secret "Herbarium" (named after Herb, the first non-botanist to find that out)...

no, they also learn how to snap those peas. Your "lecturer" is an egghead . or it's a rivalry ! Botanists have to obviously learn a lot of scientific sh** !

not at all. Botonists do research on the pollination and genetics of plants. Sounds like your lecturer was trying to make a joke....and failed.
