There is DirecTV satellite called TracVision. They were the first. I have installed one in a BMW SUV. They have a large flat disc antenna that bolts to the luggage rack. It's about 4-5" tall and about 3-4 feet in diameter.
The system runs about $3500 plus around $500 for installation.

Most likely he is lieing to you as he is a taxi driver , but you can get in car sky systems , although the aerial antennas are quite big , but is is possible and expensive , it would cost all his wages for at least half a year lol , plus how ould he use it , if he is driving lol , just wait and see if he gets one , if not ask him were it is , cheers regards dtaudio24

You can get a mobile sat system from Maplin, but obviously the car has to be stationary to keep the alignment. A freeview box might work in a good signal area

yes there is avalilable for direc tv or dish network this only works on suv because the antenna is very large
also siris satellite radio will be sending video signal next year 3 channels for now

I have only heard of freeview systems for cars. I wouldn't put it passed someone to come up with the idea though.
