Allah blessed mankind with his guidance and sent down his guidance and enlightment to mankind through some of his prophets. Are any of these books protected by Allah? Or has mankind changed the books through the ages? If there is any book that is protected, what is it, or what are they?

All the stuff about the Qu'ran is right, I just want to flesh the answer out a little bit. Mohammad's original transcripts of the Qu'ran still exist. They're in Mecca. That's why Muslims feel secure than any Qu'ran they get is true to the original. While there are differences in translations, the original still exists written in Arabic.
So, if someone wants to read the original Qu'ran in its original form, they have to learn Arabic, which is nowhere near as hard as I heard it was going to be. The only barrier I've found is the Qu'ran is written in perfect Arabic and it's sorta hard to work through, much like a Bible written with all the "thee" and "thou dost" stuff.
So, it's possible to read the original Qu'ran the way God meant it to be read.

The Qur'an is the only book from The Creator which He is protecting. The other books have been destroyed or altered by humans...which makes them obsolete. All The Prophets were sent by The Creator,... Prophet Muhammad is the ONLY Prophet who was sent to ALL of humanity. The other Prophets were sent to specific peoples for specific times in history. Thereby, the perservation of the other books are unnecessary... where as the protection of The Qur'an is essential because Prophet Muhammad is The LAST Prophet and the ONLY Prophet who was sent to ALL humanity. The Qur'an will contine to be protected by The Creator until The Day of Judgment.

With the course of time, Almighty Allah send many prophets to guide the mankind. Hz. Muhammad (SM) is the last prophet send by Allah and Holy Quran is the last holy book that has been send to the mankind. It will be saved by Allah till the dooms day / Qiyamat.

In the Holy Qur’an it has been mentioned, that this book will be protected and preserved by the almighty Allah (swt). In fact, such is the miracle of the Holy Qur’an that right from the time of the holy prophet, hundreds and thousands and now million and may be crores of people committed it to memory so that not only is it inscribed in beautiful paper but it is enshrined in the heart and minds of men that it can never ever be erased. And it always remains in its authentic purity.
In acknowledging this ‘astonishing event of human history’ Renan, a French orientalist, is in fact acknowledging the miraculous nature of the Qur’an. It was the Qur’an’s phenomenal literary style which preserved the Arabic language from alteration, such as other languages have undergone. The Christian Jurgi Zaydan (1861-1914) is one of the scholars to have recognized this fact. In a book on Arabic literature he writes:
“No religious book has had such an impact on the language in which it was written as the Qur’an has had on Arabic literature."

Allah has sent many prophets to different nations and gave them message and books. The people who were given books were assigned the duty of protecting it but they could not/ did not protect. Mohammad pbuh is the last messenger of Allah for whole humanity so Allah took on him to protect Quran.

muslims believe in the torah, bible, etc.....in their oringinal texts, but over time man has edited those books , so they aren't accepted by muslims today. Allah promised mankind to protect the last book which is the koran from any corruption. And to ensure it Allah had angel gabriel (jibreel ) go to prophet Muhammad every ramadan and listen to him to make sure it was correct, and this practice of memorazation is still continued till today.

Only Al-quran only holy book is protected by God himself other books not so,Just see the bible for example,they heve old testament,new testament and if that is not confusing enough the christian present to you different type of bible,kings james,RSV version,old RSV against latest RSV bible.Wow,if I'm a customer I will asks WOW,what is added inside?
