Someone who just posted a question blocked me and I have no idea why.
I try to express my view with tact and humor, but obviously I offended someone.
I shouldn't let it bug me, but I'm having a bad day >:`(

i hate the idea of blocking, it's the equivalent of putting you're fingers in you ears and going, "nah nah nah nah nah, i can't hear you". i've been blocked when just supplying verifiable facts with a link because it contradicts the questioner. i do not and will not block people even the ones who send me offensive and malicious e-mails. i can only think that blockers are so insecure in their beliefs that they cannot be tested or criticised without some doubts creeping in. also there is something nasty and corrosive to the freedom of speech about blocking, i mean if you just want to have a verse swapping and metaphysical mumbo jumbo club why are you on a questions forum.

I don't know if I'm blocked by anyone, but I've had to get a hell of alot of new profile names because of people who can't take a joke, I don't get too involved with answers, maybe once a week I entertain myself on it, some people are married to it and go to sleep thinking about it, and thats pathetic

The only block I know of, was by a christian gal. I had written something supportive of chritianity, no less! So, I got blocked just for being atheist... not for being offensive.
I have blocked only people who clearly appear to be mentally ill...

how do you guys know you're blocked? the only way I knew I was blocked was coming across a question I wasn't able to view or answer, but I know the guy who blocked me. No doubt his question wouldn't have made sense, just as his answers never made sense. no loss to me.

I was looking through some old answers I'd given last week and found a comment by some LeeLaLooLump chick saying for everyone to watch out for me because I was a Canadian guy who hated Muslims because some Arab guy beat up my girlfriend!!!

I've only ever been blocked by someone that was afraid to hear a dissenting opinion. I found out that everyone this person blocked was merely someone that disagreed with them.

People who block other people are people who are more interested in being reaffirmed by people who believe as they do then they are intelligent answers to their questions.
Blocking anyone is pretty chicken-doodoo, if you ask me.
I was blocked by the same 'Muslim chick' that Ray's talking about.

It happens, I block some people for reasons that aren't their fault. Like age. I get blocked sometimes and then find out later they block everyone they don't know.
