I eat only fruit and vegetables, yet I am fat!

Okay...I only started five Mondays ago and All I do is walk one hour every morning. I wear a calorie counter monitor to loose weight by the numbers. I have already lost two pant size and 27 pounds. I am a woman and have three kids and this is the method I use when I gain weight.. I am now at a size two and everyone is always amazed that I have had three kids. This is what I do below when I throw on a few extra pounds. It always works..No diet pills, no energy drinks..just me walking and getting the water I need. Of course I watch what I eat and the Lean Cuisine meals are great for that since the calories per box are 180 to 380 per box. Just make sure you eat healthy every three to four hours so your body will perform at its max.

1)A good way to loose weight is to use a calorie counter watch

Keep to a 1,200 food intake

Add 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) ...and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn't seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.

I use this method when i gain some pounds. The first time I did this I went from 168 to 127

2) Most people do not get enough water in their system. Water is your body's principal chemical component, comprising, on average, 60 percent of your weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. To determine if you are getting enough water use this simple formula.. Take your weight, for example 150 pounds and divide by 2. Take your answer which is 75 lbs and change it to ounces, in this case 75 ounces. That is how many ounces of water you need a day. Your body performs mostly on water. If you make sure you get enough water everyday your body will perform at top notch and your body will no longer have the cravings of junk food. You will have a better performing body system to help you work out and feel better thru out your day.

I think you already know the answer tho that question. What your really looking for is motivation and discipline. The first thing you should do is to appreciate yourself. After that start looking in the mirror every now and then. Tell the person in the mirror to "hey fatty get up and go to the gym". Insult/motivate yourself. When you're about to eat, drink a lot of water first until you are near to vomiting. That way you'd eat lesser. Lift weights, play some sports, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and sleep at least 8 hours a day. Water and sleeping also burns calories.I know that it wont be easy and probably it wont be fun but it'll be worth it if you can get your desired weight in the end. Don't try diet pills and liposuction. Its the cowards way out. Start now and good luck. Remember Others were able to do it. Can you?

I was thin, got pregnant, went 200pd while I was Preg., had my beautiful daughter, and couldn't lose my weight for 2 years. Finally, I couldn't' stand it no more. I got up one morning and starting walking as fast as I could for a few blocks then when I got back into the house I would run in place for 5 or 10 minutes until I worked up to 20 minutes then all I would eat was salads, lots and lots of chicken, cc cheese, fruit, no reg. cheese (once in a while) no bread, and what ever I wanted for desert on Sunday. I picked 1 certain day to have a desert then had what ever I wanted. I also drank lots of water. Don't get discouraged when you get on the scale after 2 or 3 weeks and it shows you haven't lost weight because remember your gaining muscle and loosing inches. Then after that the weight will go to. It took 3 months and I lost 25 to 30 pounds. It might not sound like alot if you have to loose 100. But you will be surprised. I hope this helps you. Remember i ate all the chicken I wanted and lots of salads so I never went hungry. that was the only thing I ever found that would work for me.

A combination of things such as:
1. Eating moderately (no cheating. If it says, 1 serving of certain food, don't make it two or three servings)
2. Eat at the right time- no late breakfast, lunch and dinner)
3. Drink nothing but water
4. Regular exercise- at least, take note : AT LEAST 30 minutes per day (no cheating- don't turn the clock's minute hand )
5. Avoid going to the kitchen and trips to the supermarket
6. Don't fill your fridge with foods and drinks but if someone else does the filling, then don't go near it.
7. Develop a hobby (not cooking, baking) that will make you forget about food.
8. Think only about positive things..

Let's see... drink a lot of water (iced is best) ...at least walk a lot or better yet bike it or find an exertion exercise you like... go berry crazy - they're super healthy with dynamite taste and high water content and low cal...veggies should be the crunchy hi fiber kind...do popcorn with nothing on it... celery too... get all the bad fat stuff out of the house...be motivated to change your lifestyle...study the issue (web, forums) - and write a 6 month long essay called "100 things I can do in my life to
get a better and lighter me"... or somethin' like that... make it yours.. you are unique and there's only one...
if you want to do it with a friend... that's cool too...

Are you Pounds fat, or are you fat in your minds eye? If you have excess weight then you must find out if you have a medical condition that prevents you from lossing weight. If all you eat is fruits and vegtables, then you should be slim, along with exercise. Unless you have other food your not telling about.
