The rain was lashing down I saw one of my cats playing with something at the end of my path near the gate. I approached, and bent down to see a large white feather lying there in perfect condition spooky...... ...

We all have a spirit guide that watches over us. And the Holy Guardian Angel is our own Higher Self. But Angels exist and do help in times of need. I don't know who protected me. But I had a car suddenly come out of a spin that would have totalled me out. And I saw a dog bite down on my fingers but felt nothing. My friends saw it too.

Yes, I know there are angels. I don't know about white feathers though. I think that cats can be angels. I'm serious. Why should angels only be people? I believe that animals, the higher mammals at least, have a happy afterlife the same as humans. We are just another sort of animal after all. When a human is in need sometimes a human angel comes to help them. It's the same with the other animals. Cats see cat angels. Maybe your cat saw a cat angel. People will scoff at that but why not? There are stranger things in heaven and earth ....

Im suprised you have got some good answers here - i asked an Angel question a few days ago and got mostly crap spouted back at me.
I believe in them - i haven't seen one but on a few occasions i have had an overwhelming feeling of love that comes on suddenly - which is one of the signs of an angel visit.

I believe in angels, but not in the sense that you described. To me, angels present themselves as common people we may or may not know. I once was incredibly ill. My husband was taking me to the emergency room. I began feeling nauseous and asked my husband to pull the car over. Unfortunately, we were in a high traffic area. When he pulled over, I opened the door and more or less fell to the ground to throw up. I felt someone grab my hair and pull it back and hold it for me. I thought it was my husband until I finished and looked up to see a woman who was offering me a Wet One to clean up with. I took what the Wet One, the lady asked my husband who was unable to help me due to the amount of traffic on his side of the car if he was going to be able to get me to the hospital okay. He assured her that he would and I got back in the car. I had never seen the woman before and never saw her again.
I was told once that if you thought you had a religious experience, then you did. Don't listen to the people telling you to grow up. The feather made you feel better. That is what is important. IF you want to believe it to be angel, it probably was.57

Once I ran out of clean underwear. Somebody played a prank on me and they dumped all of my Hanes briefs in the mud. As they were in the laundry I paced around in my bedroom naked wondering what to do- I need a clean pair of underwear to wear to school that day! I looked at a picture of an angel on my bedroom wall. I stared at it for 2 minutes. Suddenly I heard sweet laughter and I saw a few sparks of glitter fly in the air. I turned around and I saw a clean pair of Hanes briefs on my bed. Amazing! It wasn't there before I looked at the angel's pic.

my mum was a medium and always told me that we all have angels by our side, i remember when i was young i had a dream i was walking in a beautiful place with lots of cherry trees and talking with my grandad, when i told my mum she told me what i had described was where my grandad had grown up, I also saw shadows around my sons cot when i brought him home as a baby, this i believe was past relatives looking at my newborn, i believe our loved ones look out for us after they die, my mum always told me that if you find a white feather in a place that it is not meant to be then it is your guardian angel letting you know they are there. people may call me a freak but believing your past loved ones are looking out for you brings me comfort in troubled times, just after my mum died i woke in the night to someone holding my hand, i thought i was being silly until my hubby said he was positive he saw my mum in the room that night. I believe in the afterlife and when we are feeling down we are not alone, crazy it may be but it is a comforting thought .

I think that it is good, and sweet that you believe in angels, but the possibility of good and evil in a form you find comforting.
it could be that it was a benevolent spirit sending you a sign that it knew would bring you strength.
the white dove, a symbol of peace, maybe of the mind for you.
