That has actually happened, and yes they did lock them both up! :) I believe one of the brothers murdered his wife, if I remember the story correctly, and the court decided his attached brother was complicit in the homicide anyway as he didn't stop it from happening!

I know about an authentic case I witnessed, but none of these twins was ever arrested.

Years ago, I had two coworkers who were twins on their 50's.
They were single and they shared the same house and the same car; and they always dressed the same way, as many twins use to do.

One passed his driver's license for the two, and they alternatively drove their car wherever they went. At job, everyday, and to go to the city for shopping.

Everybody in the company knew it. For they had fun and they willingly jocked about that. They said that the police checked their driver license from time to time while traveling in their car, as it may happen to anyone, but they never got into trouble with that. For, the police officer always found himself perfectly unable to know which one the two truly held the driver's license.

Funny, isn't it?

That would be a dilemma. I guess one could sit outside the bars and the other on the inside depending on how they were attached.

There are actually people living today who have two heads. How would it be determined who committed the crime?
