“Who wrote the Bible” is a question that is undoubtedly asked by many who are familiar with the impact this book has made on people around the world. The Bible gives guidance in our journey through life to eternity, as well as leads us to a relationship with the God of the universe. It is a historical book that is backed by archeology, and a prophetic book that has lived up to all of its claims thus far. In light of all these facts, asking, “who wrote the bible,” is a vital question that deserves serious investigation and a serious response. The Bible is God’s letter to humanity collected into 66 books written by 40 divinely inspired writers. These writers come from all walks of life (i.e., kings to fishermen) and spans over a period of 1,500 years or more. These claims may seem dramatic (or unrealistic to some), but a careful and honest study of the biblical scriptures will show them to be true.

it is supposedly to have recited by Jesus and written subsequently by his commandanders. Bible has been revised many times and that is perfectly OK. That is why the bible as what we see is called new testament. No one knows exactly as who first wrote Bible and how Bible went into various editions. Similarly is the question about Quran and Bhagavat Gita.

A lot of people. Several were in positions of power, as you can see where in parts of it, the laws and rules are geared toward keeping the populace in line. Many were also the poor and destitute, as you can tell from parts where meekness and poorness are positive traits that are considered righteous. I think over the years it was edited to fit together a little better, through translations to other languages and updates to stay relevant and coherent in a modern context. You can see this happening even today with all the different translations that you can buy in any Christian book store.

Ya' know, I wonder how many times "tithing" sections have been edited...hmmmmm... :)

Well, I think we can all agree that humans have written billions of books over the last couple of millennia.. so the question is which is more likely.. that all books were written by people? Or that one book out of those billions was not written by people?

Different persons under inspiration of God. Actually, it is full of history what God interacted with people through different means and tried to follow Him, equipped them, shepherd them, convicted them, blessed them delivered them when they obey Him etc.
the prophesies and instructions are inspired by God on different occasions. all prophesies lead to the birth of Jesus a deliverer.
