its an internet rumor just like when they said the first man on the moon was a muslim its a rumor and what does what a complete strangers religion have to do with you anyway?

Okay, I finally gave in and looked up Sunita Williams, I had NO idea who she was (this is what happens when you live in a place in which the only news accessible is in a language you don't speak).
I couldn't find anything on her embracing Islam. I don't think it's true.

sunita williams is an individual & we must respect her right of prIvacy, as her converting to a religion is a very personal matter. there is a counter argument that being a public figure there personal lives are bound to be of mass interest i would just like to advise all to be patient and let ms williams make a statement in this regard. yes the responsible (?) media should make an effort to contact her & NOT HOUND HER.
PL give the lady a break!

I heard a news that Sunita Williams could saw the entire earth as round . There are two places on the earth which were sparkling and they are Mecca and Madina . Then she accepted Islam on reaching earth it seems

Any educated Muslim, should have the responsibility, no, duty of checking any claim such as these and their sources before believing, especially in today's World which is ridden with anti-Islamic propaganda. From my search, I can't find any item of information from the original source (i.e. Sunita Williams) confirming or denying this fact. There have been many similar hoaxes in the past, (http://www.answering-islam.de/Main/Hoaxes) and I would advise all Muslim brothers and sisters to be aware of this.

"Islam" is a spiritual state of belief in the Absolute oneness of the Lord of Abraham and belief in all of his Prophets. This definition is irrespective of time or place.
Islam means to voluntarily submit ones will to the will of GOD.
A "Muslim" is one who has submitted his/herself to the Lord of Abraham (ALLAH).
All the Prophets from Adam to Noah, to Abraham, to Moses to Jesus , to Mohammed and all in between as well as their followers were "Muslim" and they practiced "Islam".
Moses and all his followers were of those who submitted themselves to the Lord of Abraham so they were in a state of "Islam" as "Muslims".
For the followers of Moses to stay "Muslim" they would have had to follow the last Israelite Prophet (Messiah) - Jesus.
For the followers of Jesus to stay "Muslim" they would have had to accept the final Abrahamic Prophet - Mohammed.
Only Muslims will enter into Paradise.
The Lord of Abraham will decide who lived the life of a "Muslim" and only those who receive his mercy on the day of Judgement will enter into Paradise and be saved from the fire of Hell.
