The main one would be the effect it would have on the mobility of new drivers who after a raise in the legal age of driving would have to wait before they can drive themselves around. This can be very bad in areas with bad public transport and low population density (worst in rural areas).

Those who argue to raise the legal age for driving usually want to do so for safety reasons to ensure that the new drivers are more 'mature' and less likely to crash so if there isn't already a graduated licencing system that might make a good counter-proposal to raising the age for driving.

I would also try proposing reducing the age at which one can get a learners permit and then increasing the amount of time a driver is expected to be on the learners permit before they get their licence.

Personally, I think 18 years should be the minimum.
Questions and statements such as these are good indicators.
Being able to think clearly is a pre-requisite.

since u cant vote, u have no say in it. u dont get that right until age 18. u dont get to call the shots on anything untill then either.
