i'm a 16 yr old guy,
i really like this girl at school.
i pretty good friends with her...
tomorrow i'll be with her friend (who i fairly good friends with) at a school sports day thing.
do u think i should ask her friend what to do and if i have a chance with the girl i like????

ps...this girl i like said she had a crush on me like a year ago...she asked me to the senior formal (which is in like 18 months) and one of her guy friends said that she's had the hots for me since the start of high school.

No, you should not ask the other girl what to do. It's obvious that you have more than "a chance". This is what you should say: "I'm looking forward to the senior formal, but 18 months is a long time to wait. Would you like to go to [insert dance/activity here], you know it's [x] days from now, not 18 months."

Getting a red carpet like this is rare in life. Make the most of it.

Don't ask the friend what you should do, it's never a good idea to bring a third person into it. Just talk to the girl you like, if she turns you down, you'll survive.

from what you already know it seems that the girl likes you quite a lot
but indeed, you don't need to ask your friends, because you can see that from her behavior towards yourself

so I would say it is all rather promising
