Oh, that one. I don't know what he means but often men, and women, mean that they're trying to give you a graceful exit from the relatinship.

If you want him honey then get all nicely done up and make sweet music with him. Be sweet and do little things for him.

Its a coward's way of breaking up with you because he's hoping you will break up with him so he won't have to do the dirty work. Its basically a way of saying "I'll say something is wrong with me, I hope you'll agree and leave me alone." I've been with people who did that, its incredibly annoying and really pisses me off.

Just like when someone says "Its not you, its me", its a overly polite way of saying "I don't like you".

Just like when some people say "Let's be friends" after a breakup, what they really mean is "Don't hate me".

it means that you are in danger of ruining his life, like loosing his freedom, and he wants some reassuring little comment, to prove that you have zero self esteem - thus he has a green light to walk all over you... and really ruin your life!

Just reply that he is in no danger of doing that, blow his ego, and move on, chances are that he will follow, if he doesn't then its no loss!

The words may vary with the person, or occasion - but the underlying theme remains the same !

Basically he doesn't want you. He is just trying to find a way of telling you that so it doesn't hurt so much.
