1. "I and the father are ONE."
"I and the Father are one" is different from "I and the Father are one God". So what does Jesus mean when He said that, He meant they are one in purpose of taking care of the sheep, read the above verses.

2. He also said, "He who has seen me has seen the father".
God is a spirit (John 4:24), a spirit has no flesh and bones (Luke 24:39 KJV), there is no way you could see God. So what is meant on this?
2 Corinto 4:4 KJV
Christ, who is the image of God

Meaning they have same in attributes like being holy and good but not in deity as he said he is not God in Luke 24:39 and John 8:40.

3. God has described Himself to us as a triune God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Where is the proof of the truine GOd. You won't even find a verse with the word Trinity or anything about it. Sorry guys, I believe for more than 20 years on Trinity but God has given me light. I just thought of sharing it to you.

4. Before Abraham was, I AM." (John 8:58)
There is no claim here about Jesus saying he is God. The word I AM "eigo emi" being said by God and Jesus doesnt prove anything that Jesus is God. In fact not only Jesus and God speak of the word, even the angels have said the word I AM "eigo emi". If thats so, then the angels would be God too. On this chapter never he said he is God. The Pharisees misunderstood him when he said he is the Son of God, they thought Jesus was claiming to be God so they try to stone him. Just like what he claimed, he was a man sent by God (John 8:40)

Christ's deity is one of the more interesting debates of the Christian world. Both sides believe they have absolute proof from scripture, and both simply dismiss the scriptures that support the other side. It is both interesting and noteworthy that you quote from John to make your point, since that book makes the strongest case for Christ's deity.

Does the Bible say that Jesus is God? Yes. John clearly states that in John 1:1. If you want to say that the Greek should be translated, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was god," then you need to be consistent and translate every verse in John 1 that has the word for God {Theos} with out the definate article as "a god." That would mean that verse 6 should read, "There arose a man that was sent forth as a representative of a god: his name was John." Verse 12 should read, However, as many as did receive him, to them he gave authority to become a god's children, because they were exercising faith in his name;" Likewise, verse 18 should read No man has seen a god at any time; the only-begoten god who is in the bosom position with the Father is the one that has explained him."

Did Jesus claim to be God? Well, this is certainly more debateable. John 8:58 can certianly be taken as such a claim. Not only does Jesus claim to be eternal by saying, "Before Moses was, I am," but he was describing himself with the name of God. Jehovah means, "I am." It seems that Jesus is saying, "Before Moses was, Jehovah (indicating himself)." I think it is fairly safe to assume that is exactly what Jesus implied, because of verse 59, "At this, they picked up stones to stone him."

But how does verse 58 fit with verse 40, and every single other verse where Jesus seems to distinguish himself from God?

Well, Hebrews 2:9 says that Jesus was made a little lower than the angels. Phillipians 2:6-7 states it even better, "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness..."

When Jesus was on earth he wasn't God. None of this 100% man, 100% God stuff. He emptied himself of all deity while on earth. This doesn't go against his statement in John 8:58, because Jesus was not on the earth when Moses was.

Romans 9:5 also states that Jesus is God, as do other verses.

The Holy Spirit is also called God in the scriptures, as is the Angel of the Lord.

So how does this fit with the many places in the Bible where it says that there is only one God?

The truth is, the Bible doesn't really tell us how to reconcile those statements. The traditional way of harmonizing those scriptures is through the teaching of the Trinity, which states the Three are the same Being, but with Three parts, each part with its own Personage. That MAY be correct, but that teaching is not found in the Bible. It is supported by statements Jesus makes like, "He who has seen me has seen the Father." - John 14:9. Jesus also says that "I and the Father are one." - John 10:30.

In some way Jesus and the Father are the same. In what way, we are not told. It should just be enough for us that when we are told that there is only one God, that this does not violate that nature. The statement of there only being one God may not be talking about how many personages can claim to be deity, but simply that there is no god other than the God of Israel that created the universe. If the word "God" can include a plurality (as it seems to), that is not a contradiction, it just means that there are no gods outside that plurality that is known as God.

If you would have kept reading John 8 a few verses later you would have found where Jesus says to the religious leaders, "Before Abraham was, I AM." (John 8:58)

Jesus was calling himself the same name that God had called himself to Moses in Exodus 3. Apparently it was enough of a claim to divinity that the religious leaders tried to stone him on the spot.

Bible teaches the concept of the trinity -- God the daddy, Jesus Christ His Son and the Holy Spirit -- that's ideas-boggling to think of approximately -- whether it is likewise smart -- is definitely neat to think of approximately. there is likewise context of the verse to think of approximately. Context is often thrilling / now and back basic and different situations extremely complicated. that distinctive passage is greater complicated. My expertise is-- Peter is speaking to Cornelius / the be conscious which God sent to the infants of Israel - coaching peace by way of Jesus Christ -- he's Lord of all--....after the baptism which John preached......vs 40 "Him God raised up on the 0.33 day, and confirmed Him overtly." it must be meaning that God grow to be exhibiting that Jesus of Nazareth grow to be a special individual. Coming to earth -- being born as a guy -- he grow to be giving up a number of His solid point to be like a mortal guy. God grow to be anointing Him with skill on an identical time as on earth. regardless of each and everything, on an identical time as on earth as Jesus , He mandatory to consume and sleep -- He grow to be tempted as we are and went to the daddy for potential / refreshment. So yet another expertise could be that we are seeing God / Jesus of Nazareth ( Jesus Christ the Son) and the Holy Spirit. this is the trinity/ Godhead.

Joh 8:43 Why do you not know my speech? Because you cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44 You are of your father the devil: and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning: and he stood not in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.
Joh 8:45 But if I say the truth, you believe me not.

Then you believe wrongly. Jesus Himself said "I and the father are ONE." He also said, "He who has seen me has seen the father".

God has described Himself to us as a triune God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Without Jesus Himself being God, your sins are still UNPAID and you are without HOPE.

Jesus, and the Word of God, tells us that He is God "in the flesh", come to die for the sins of the world.

It is too sad to see the missing of the meaning of the true role of Lord Jesus Christ to the man kind. Jesus Christ is the Verbo (in Latim) and after the rebellion of some potencies He was crucified to return the all the Power to the MAN (as it is at begining of the time for Adam Quadomom!)

Jesus said "come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest for your souls"

He also said "follow me"

Do you see something in Jesus that you love? Something that speaks truth to your heart? Then study his words, follow him, and pray to God the Father using his example.

The rest will follow
