You really have to stop straightening your hair if you want the ends of your hair to stop splitting. Chemicals and heat are the main causes of dry, brittle and weak hair. In the meantime, you can individually cut the ends of the strands where the split occurs with a small and very sharp scissors. Snipping them with blunt scissors may cause the ends to split again. If your hair in general looks really bad, tie it up in a bun.

Spenser, Hair can split anywhere along the shaft, not just at the end. Purchase Nexus products to use on your hair, and don't brush it vigorously for use heated products (flat irons, curling irons, or blower dryers) for a while. A salon can help you to pick out which products are the right one for your hair, so be sure to buy them at a salon, at least at first.

what you should do is go to a salon and have your hair trimmed...tell the stylist to layer your hair starting from about a few inches from your nape BUT to keep the overall length of your hair...that's possible my stylist did that to mine and i'm now split end free!...mostly anyway lol...after that be sure to maintain it by regularly trimming your hair every 8 weeks or maximum of 3 months....remember that split ends reconstructors don't really fix split ends, they only hide or slow down the process coz once hair breaks it will never repair itself

Spring for a good triming, it'll give your hair back some liveliness, & it'lll encourage new growth.

then use conditioners, on the ends especially til you get the rest cut as it keeps growing.

hot oil treatments, & wraps are good.& Carrot juice mixed w/your shampoo. hey dont' laugh, Paul Mitchell makes a fortune w/his product.

My advice is free, no charge this time(haha).

I would suggest to have a look in your local supermarket, they should have a shampoo for treating hair... it won't exactly cure your hair's split ends, but it will make it look healthier...
look for something called "treatment shampoo" or something else...
or actually there's one shampoo called "intensive care"... not sure what brand though, sorry.
good luck...
