i got a better paying job and its way better too. but i dont know what to tell my work. should i say its affecting my schooling, or i just got a better offer? there nice people and I know they are gona give me a big guilt trip about it. if i lie and say its affecting school, is it possible to some how look up my social code and see that im employed by other company? any suggestions, thanks!

Just go in and tell them that you can no longer work for them and that you are willing to work another two weeks so that they can find a replacement-if they need you to. . .Some employers would just as soon you leave immediately. I would just say I can no longer work for you. You can say that the job presents a conflicting schedule. That's the truth because it will conflict with your new job. Say as little as possible, be contrite about quitting, tell them you've enjoyed working for them. Keep talking and blah blah blah it so that you don't have to lie or go into depth about why and try very hard to not burn any bridges. . .

Very carefully. Basically you just burned down a bridge you might need later. They'll probably be a little irritated you didn't tell them before.

My advice is to be polite and honest - just say that you have enjoyed your time there and you will miss them but you have accpeted another job.
