This isn't a corny question at all but a great one! There are tons of ways, from small to big but even small ones can create a ripple effect. Here are some off the top of my head:
- smile and say hello to people you don't know
- really listen when people talk and show you care
- offer to help a neighbour such as shovelling snow, cutting lawns, babysitting their children, bringing over something you've made like soup or muffins, sharing your garden
- click on 'The Hunger Site' and the related sites everyday (go to http://www.thehungersite.com )
- pick up litter wherever you see it
- reduce your consumption
- recycle what you can
- eat vegetarian and organic
- get a hybrid for your next vehicle
- buy fair trade goods
- pick a cause you're passionate about and do something for it, be it fundraise, donate, write petitions, or hands-on help

First, I try not to be a hypocrite. I pray every day without fail. Then after I have taken care of my business with family and such, I help other people with their concerns. Usually that involves writing letters of complaint about something that they need straightened out. This has been more successful than not. It has given many people a "happier" slant on life, just knowing that someone cares enough to offer a helping hand. I will share with you some of my daily Bible verses. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. - Peace and God Bless.

just be a good person, if you go to work everyday and do your job. You are making a difference. Help the person living next door or down the street. We all help every day, we just dont see it. with out all of you out there doing your job my brothers and sister serving in the military could not do their job.

the way i see it you can either give your time or your money. personally i give money cos its easier. i give weekly to my favorite charity (i got a free pen off them one year with puppies on it!) then monthly to the other one. i favor animals and the environment. pick how much you can afford to give....then approach your charities and do it by automatic payment. if they try to hassle you into giving more than you can afford pick another charity. or you could do volunteer work if you have time. also pick up litter and go vegan! :]]]

Encourage rational thinking. If people stopped having "faith" in some imaginary friend we'd have far fewer wars.
