The most thermogenic foods are lean whole low BV proteins, followed by high fiber carbs, then low GI carbs and fats. These would include boneless skinless chicken breast, white fish, lean beef, lean turkey breast, most leafy green veggies such as spinach and broccoli, nuts such as almonds and peanuts, then low GI foods like peanut butter and sweet potatoes, etc.

proteins cause the greatest thermogenic effect, then carbohydrates and fats. this is why bodybuilders and fitness competitors use high protein, low carb diets to reduce the body fat for a competition.
