For this, I would devote special time to each child. Seperate parties if possible. With that age span anyway. Your son will want something more grown up. While your daughter is having one of the most important birthday's in her life. To you and your family anyway. Think about your daughters nap time. Let's say on the 29th. Which is a Saturday. During nap time, have a party for son. Clean up and then have one for your daughter later in the evening. Or vice versa. On their actual birthday, again, pay special attention to each child. Your son might feel left out if you spend a lot of time on your daughters birthday party. Do seperate weekends if you have to. Or your daughters on their birthday and your sons on the Saturday before or after. Good luck and enjoy. Special note, I share my dads birthday.

i think if i were you with the age difference that i wouldn't have the party together. I'd do the 1 year olds party earlier in the day or maybe the day be for and then ask the 12 year old what kind of party they want to have and do that for them as long as it's with in your range. maybe have it after the first party or the next day...I'd ask the 12 year old because he is definitely going to be the one that remembers it. I'd almost bet if you talked to your son about it and asked his opinion he'd help you come to a great solution for you.

I would think about it. The age difference would make me think this not a good plan.
