Paul, old friend...Dear W&M alumni too... everyone else whom I never met and never can...
Eternal God, amidst all the turmoil and changes of our world, we know that you are constant, our firm foundation in the midst of every storm and upheaval. Bless those who have been lost, that their souls may live on in your love and presence. Bless those who mourn, may they find true comfort, great strength, and neverending hope in your presence and our compassion. May thier memories be with us forever. May God grant each of you peace in your journey and give you all enternal rest.
Amen

Thanks for reminding us of our need to pray. Today is a day we will never want to forget, how we watched the senseless murder of the innocent. Our enemy declared war, yet struck at the non-combatant.
So, I too want to join you in asking our King to be with us as we move through these times. To ask Him to bless those who gave their lives to save others and be our example of what a true hero is.
And to ask Him to touch each heart, both the warm and the cold, to remember what cost had to be paid to show the world there are still those who are willing to kill if your worship is different than theirs.
And will agree with you...can not believe how many there are who can be so callous in their answers. I seriously wonder where their bravado was on that tragic day, or did some pout and fume when they saw a tragedy unite so many in prayer and worship service? Where is their courage of conviction, or are their bitter words limited to just a faceless posting in a small speck of the internet universe? Beause I seriously doubt there are that many brave enough to walk up to the families of the victims and spill out such trash as they write here.

I join you in prayer for living victims of this monstrous terract. I want to express my sympathy for them. May God care about them and give them true comfort. They also need to think more so that their souls could be saved. I know what is sufferings and find the real comfort only in God. I pray to the Lord so that Christian and people of good will were trying hard top join forces in struggle against injustice and the evil of this imperfect world.

Yes, Heavenly Father,
Guide the men and women who are fighting currently to win, those that have lost the battle and the ones that are found in the midst of it all to a place of peace and understanding of your love even when times are chaotic.
Be with their families, their friends and their enemies that we all will learn from our past. Help to grow in your name, O Jesus.
Amen.

I'm an atheist and guess what,
I will join you for this prayer!
I hope people should realize that there's something greater than our different beliefs.
May those who died in the 9/11 tragedy rest in piece.

I lived very close to the Pentagon on Sept. 11th. The explosion rocked my house very hard. I mourn all my neighbors lost and pray with you for all those of DC, NY, and Penn. As for me it will be a day filled with tears.
