Because no one likes fear, and people like quick answers.

some answers are right though. some religions get real close, you should study them more . taoists and buddhists don't fear the unknown, they find the answers to it.
no matter what you say you have a religion, even nihilists believe that this universe exists. religion is your personal answers (based on faith) to questions you can't prove answers to. so a nihilists religion is that nothing exists. which makes no sence, thats why MOST people arn't nihilists, they just dont have a label for what they believe

What is the "right answer" then ??? ... perhaps drugs, sex, booze, - maybe money, music, education, careers, cars, food, clothing, homes or intellectualism. Man ... we have all these things and can't you read the hand writing, scribed on the "wall" ? The "right answers" do not lie with humans but with God. Look at it this way -pal ... either, there is a God or we all have had it !!! With terrorism, pan-demics, nuclear war looming closer (Iran - North Korea) - do you really think that our future is safe in the hands of humans? Com'on now !!!

I can't speak for you but I find that the Bible has all the answers. It has never been wrong even those who do not really believe in God will search the Bible because it speaks truth not bias to views of the world. people need security not someone or thing that expect to have a debt that needs to be paid to them. Bible is a place of security or should I say God for if there was no true God than there would never be security. religion offers no security but Jesus and God the Fatgher do before now and forever

I don't know the answer to your question, but I often ponder it myself.

The unknown is kind of scary, but making up ridiculous supernatural causes to explain the unknown is even weirder. I'm content to live in a world where I can't explain everything.

Agnostics are cool like that.

that's basic... I shop on with what i think. i do no longer ignore many distinctive ideals and adjust to those that make the main experience to me. I in simple terms do the extreme-high quality with what i've got gained. If i visit be punished for that, so be it. I did my high quality to make your ideas up and do what I concept was once proper, that's all i can do. For the report, i used to be now no longer raised in my cutting-edge faith, whether i've got been education it for 18 years now. whether in my faith, there is not any such element as "proper" one-- all religions are guy-made techniques to attune with a greater powerful power. we can ought to attempt to to locate the guy who facilitates us do this marvelous, yet all of them convey approximately the comparable area. So the innovations of Pascal's wager, that some people are proper or some people are unsuitable, is beside the element to my faith.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Religion is the trump answer for everything some people are too afraid to discover for themselves.

"What's in the back of this dark cave?" "Oh, the Messiah." "What could possibly be in the deep waters of the sea?" "Ask Moses. He could tell you first hand." "Why are we here?" "Because God willed it."

It's the easy way out. They want an answer, so they make one up. Simple as that.

People aren't always motivated by fear of the unknown.

Many people have questions like "What's the meaning of life"?, and "Why are we here"? Profound questions that things like science and standard human knowledge cannot provide answers to.

In Buddhism this is known as the animal realm, or having the mind like that of an animal. One of the six realms of mental processes shared by through the human condition that bring us suffering.

Here we find security by making certain that everything is totally predictable. We only buy blue chip stock, never take a chance and never look at new possibilities. The thought of new possibilities frightens us and we look with scorn at anyone who suggests anything innovative. This realm is characterized by ignorance. We put on blinders and only look straight ahead, never to the right or left.realm of the animal. It is one of the six realms of mental processes that bring humans suffering.

If folk have any belief in God, they who have some "fear" of God, will then seek His divine mercy. This, of course, is a very selfish thing to do. Actually a person should stay in "good graces" with the Lord. He will provide you with what you need. All you have to do is ask. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.
