Merry meet from one who lives under southern skies (as in Australia.)
I'm preparing for the Ostara/ Spring Equinox sabbat right now as I see the sunbursts of flowering eucalyptus.
Normally, since I'm solitaire, I use the Mabon/Autumn Equinox as a time to release the old and re-dedicate to refresh and remind myself of how far I've travelled on the journey.

Normally we celebrate the sabbats together as a coven where I am, but this year I may have to cancel our Mabon ritual because of some family stuff going on, and we may be moving to a new house that has a better space for a temple that can fit everyone in the circle at once. We have had to worry about family matters so much in the past couple weeks that I have not had a chance to plan the ritual.

In honor of the season I'll observe Samhain by meditating and having incense..sandal wood..burning. As to what I'll meditate about I can only say it involves thunder.
I'm not Wicca any more but many Wiccans celebrate Christmas. Samhain is a very great day for to many to be ignored.
EDIT: Not of this World
I am a Gnostic Christian inspired by direct revelation of Christ though near death experience. I was a Witch long ago. You just have to believe me when I tell you that Witches aren't at all what you think and in all likelihood neither is Christ. God loves everyone because God is Love. You should know this, besides I never said what I was meditating about, but since I feel it's right I'll give you a link to my Blog that tells you exactly what I'll be meditating on but be prepared to read a poem by a Christian from over 1800 years ago that knew the Holy Spirit as you never knew HER:

She is a manifestation of the Goddess or the Goddess is a manifestation of her. Either way she was first and our perceptions came after.
Enjoy.

Happy Birthday to Rhiannon! I will be celebrating my birthday as well! We will have a feast and some wonderful home-made mead with friends. At the end of the day I will sit in quiet solitude, reflect on the past and look to the future.

I am not sure. I feel as a Hellenist that some of those things arn't necessary.
Sometimes its fun to celebrate with the rest of your pagan buddies though.
Praise the Olympians to the Highest!

Celebrating with my family. A big feast, afterward light an orange candle and a yellow one on my altar, and incense. For me it's a renewal and a wish of a good winter. Simple, but that's just the way I do it :)

We'll go apple picking, and put up apples for the winter. We'll probably make some apple sauce and apple slices....definately cut stuff up for the dehydrator....the bunnies would just be depressed if they got no apple slices until next apple season. We'll also start decorating for November Eve.
