That would be annoying. I usually think the other person is just sick of holding their stuff, so they plop it down prematurely. But if they seem to be creeping up on your stuff, just put one of those plastic dividers in between your stuff and theirs.

Your store doesn't have the little divider things to put on the counter/conveyor belt? It's only polite to put one behind your stuff so the next person who walks up can put their stuff up and there won't be any confusion about whose stuff is whose.
I'm curious how it is that you know these chicks want to appear to be with you. Do they tell you that?

I think the person isn't necessarily trying to be with you, but rather wants to check out as quickly as possible. Just put the little bar between your stuff and the other person's stuff and step away.

I don't know if it's an attempt to think that the person is with me but it is annoying especially when they get right up next to you and push lightly like you're in the way.

I think they may be in a hurry to get serviced. If there isn't a divider provided by the store use the largest thing you bought to keep your things separated.

No, because I know how to put a divider on the conveyor belt before and after my things.

No, but I have had people step up to the cashier in front of me before I have my stuff paid for or gotten my change. They don't even care that I have to lean over them to pay.

I totally know what your talking about. I know it's not always an anti social feeling like "hey wait your in my bubble" but dang people need to have patience. Their items will get scanned just after yours and can sit a little behind. It's all about patience

Yes! That has happened to me before. I use to be more social than what I am today, but creeps like that just got me to realize that it wasn't such a good idea. I now try to keep to myself whenever I an out and about by myself. Tell them to fcuk off!
