i truly believe it would not matter as far as he was a good president . people have a value depending in what they do u know ??? not in what people want to make them look like . in the past the same we see today has been done in more than one occasion , people like to believe than those who are the new always come with the worst intentions and that they are just not like them , to which all i have to say is that the only thing which divide us a lot of the time is just an imaginary line which wasn't there before . we all look for the same and we all want a better future .
i would like to add that i think that some should stop being so judgmental , being an undocumented is not equal to stealing ., it is an act of survival , something which most of us would do if we needed to . would that make us bad people ??? the answer is not it would only make us understand than non is as pure as some would like to believe . not all laws should be enforced and there should always be someone with enough to say i do not stand for this injustice , just like there should had been when slavery was legal even thought it was the law , a law which today we proudly do not have today .
what we need is someone who not only thinks about the law but about the people for which the laws were intended for .

I wouldn't care. What dose that have to do with them becoming a great president? Why would people care when its the person running the country, not their parents.

Depends on the person. It's their parents that broke the law. I am a bit suspect that he might not have come from the best environment. but As long as he's a good person who understand as President, it's his job to ENFORCE THE LAW, I am fine.

For one, this would probably come out to the public before anyones head was turned. They would never win the election. A presidential candidate is under more scrutiny than a star or anyone else in the public eye. Anything in their past is well-known.

I can not seem to understand why some of the answers are hidden... They do not seem inappropiate.
Is this a bigot question searching for a bigot answer?
How would you feel if all ethnic minorities in our service laid down their weapons for a day and let you and your (bigots) pick up the slack?
How would you feel if all the world decided not to produce for the US and gave us the bird -http://www.uexpress.com/tedrall, and said, "lets leave out the US for a day."

None of us are responsible for the actions of our fathers and mothers. As long as the President was legal, I wouldn't care if he/she had illegal parents.
But if I elect someone president who has parents who are illegal--I darn well expect him or her to deport them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Won't happen. No matter how pc you think people are, when they are in the voting booth the truth comes out (except in 2000 when bush stole the election from president gore).
