If it ain't on an Amoroso's roll, it ain't a Philly cheesesteak.

humorous you may desire to ask...i latterly went to a place that touts "genuine actual PHILLY" cheesesteaks, they made it sound so stable I had to attempt one. guy, what a sadness! The bread they used...they claimed it grow to be no longer purely a hoagie roll, yet one they import direct from a bakery in Philly. nicely, Philly can shop em' reason they have been awful!! think of a substantial, unsweetened twinkie and you gets the belief...i might desire to've taken too long to consume all of it reason the bread grow to be so spongy and ethereal that it soaked up too many of the beef's juices and the bread fell aside and grew to become too moist and soggy to consume!! i'm sorry to declare, yet while it particularly is "actual" philly, i will persist with the FAKERS, thank you very a lot!! I desire those that use thick, HEARTY, CRUSTY on the outdoors chewy on the interior italian or french rolls. purely no mayo nevertheless....With each and all the cheese and the beef and grease and such, mayo's purely overkill....Yeccch....i'm feeling ill purely thinking approximately it o_O

Any good, long sub-sandwich-type bread should do well, I can't think of any names specifically, but smaller than an actual Subway sandwich should do well

I normally use a hoagy roll - either white or wheat. If they carry Orlando brand in your area, it's a very good roll that's a heavier bread.
