No, the rockmelon, or cantalope in the U.S. is not edible. Unless you're a real animal anyway!

It would be very tough as well as I'm not sure it would be very sanitary regardless of how much you tried to wash the outside before you slice it. But if you mean the part of the fruit that's green right inside the outer skin, you can eat it but it's bitter since it's not ripe. It won't hurt you; it just won't taste very good.

This is true for all melons.

I think u can but it'd be a tough skin to eat.It would taste bitter though so i wouldnt try really...

It does not have to be a commmon ingredient. Though bananas are associated with latex and rubber. Can be a load of different things

I had never considered it before but I would imagine if you could grind them fine enough, someone would figure a way to use them.
