My aunt bought me a bottle of peppermint schnapps as a gift. Besides doing shots, and mixing it with hot cocoa or coffee... what exactly can I do with it? I've looked at a few drink mixing websites, but they didn't have recipe suggestions.

last time i had peppermint schnapps, what my friends and i did was...squirt chocolate syrup into our mouths (hold it in there), take a shot of peppermint schnapps, gargle, shake head, and swallow. tastes like those girl scout cookies, thin mints! but anyway, there's so many things you can do with it. this is my favorite site to look up recipes because it makes it so easy.

Peppermint Patty recipe:

1 shot peppermint schnapps
1 squirt chocolate syrup

Keep a shot of peppermint schnapps in your mouth, and squirt chocolate syrup in. Shake head vigorously and swallow.
Serve in: Shot Glass

You can keep it in the freezer, also keep a bottle of good vodka in the freezer & freeze a martini glass, pour chilled vodka & schnapps into glass, mostly vodka, enough schnapps to your taste. It's called White Spider, you can serve it on ice also. Cheers! We usually use Absolut 100 proof, or Stoly 100 proof, because the schnapps is so low proof. You can try on ice with plain soda water & lemon twist, refreshing.Or vodka schnapps & plain soda on ice.

Maybe try mixing about a half a cup of schnapps into chocolate chip cookie dough or chocolate cake mix and enjoy a hint of mint with your chocolatey dessert! I'm sure your friends will enjoy the 'spirits' you put into making them, too!
A mixure of Baileys Irish Cream is good with it, and/or Kahlua
Expensive drink but tastes like a peppermint patty. Or even try mixing some Hersheys chocolate syrup (maybe some ice cream too?) in a blender with it and have yourself a shnappchocolate shake! lol
Wow, that sounds so good to me, I'm going to try that one myself!! lol

Actually I use it for medicinal purposes. Sometimes when I have an upset stomach (due to stress or something other than the flu or food poisoning), I make a stomach tonic with about a shot's worth in a glass of ice water. Sipped slowly, it's relaxing and helps sooth a sour tummy.

It lasts a long time so this is a good use of it.

Mix it with Jagermeister and enjoy fabulously delicious Screaming Nazi shots. They kind of taste like chewing gum, if you're into that.

yeah obviously all of these people don't have any DRINK recipies....what you need to do with this is look up the recipe for a "mohito" and substitute the mint it asks for with those schnapps and your good to go...trust me, mohitos are very good.

Put it in a paper bag and go out front of your house and drink it on the curb, watching the world go by.

Cook with it! Add it to lamb recipes or your cous cous or rice.
