Yes! in moderation.
remember, eat the meat not the fat.

In case you just had a hi-cholesterol meal in a party. try to drink hot tea afterwards to help wash out the oils in your body.

Cold drinks would solidify the oils in your body and make things bad.

you're a good daughter.

well i'm glad you got a lot of stuff that doesn't have cholesterol. Well maybe you should start eating less meat or substituting the beef with lean chicken or turkey or fish which are much healthier alternatives. I don't eat cow or pig because they take like a week to digest and there's alot more fat in em. Maybe you can even try tofu and see if you like it. But fruits and veggies should be the main thing going in your mouth. You've got to see what's more important:eating healthy and getting that cholesterol lowered or eating to your own content. I also think that cheerios are supposed to lower cholesterol. Good luck and hope your mom is able to come back to the safe zone.

If we aren't supposed to eat animals, why are they made of meat?
Seriously though, your doctor can help plan a healthy menu.
Or contact a dietitian
And talk to the butcher about trimming more of the fat on the cuts of beef that you purchase
There are food which lower the LDL cholesterol levels,Olives; olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil; cashews, almonds, peanuts, and most other nuts; avocados,Corn, soybean, safflower, and cottonseed oils; fish
You can also "trade off" by cutting the cholesterol in other areas.
Stay away from Whole milk, butter, cheese, and ice cream; chocolate; coconuts, most margarines; vegetable shortening; partially hydrogenated vegetable oil; deep-fried chips; many fast foods; most commercial baked goods

try chicken and fish and other types of meat. get her to eat cheerios and oatmeal which can help lower cholesterol. eat lean red meat as well, its better for you, remember anything that comes from an animal has cholesterol in it. also remember portion control a serving size of meat is about the size of a deck of cards

It's all in our minds.Otherwise there in nothing healthy in meat which we can't get from other safer, cleaner, fresher and more hygienic foods. All animal products are harder on the digestive system and leave more toxins in our bodies.Over a period of time the accumulative effects of such toxins give rise to several serious medical conditions. In a worst case scenario, one can go for white meat or fish in a regulated and controlled manner.

Reduce the portion size to about two inches square per serving and cut out the carbohydrates like potatoes and pasta and rice. The should lower your triglycerides and over all fats quite a bit.

Tell her to stay away from egg yolks(the highest percent of cholestoral of any food)and red meat like hamburg meat, steaks, roasts, etc... If you guys like meat go with chicken or turkey! Fish is a good choice too. Or just eat meat in moderation!!!

this may surprise you but most people on the caveman diet or the Atkins diet have a large drop in there cholesterol levels.

a very low carbohydrate diet forces your body to burn the cholesterol Rather then absorb it.

My mother and sisters cholesterol levels dropped, the bad that is, and the good went up when they switched to butter from margarin......butter occurs naturally, it takes a hell of a lot of work to make corn into margarin....
