In the closet, in secret. Too bad most who ought to know that have never read the entire Bible, and therefore have no clue what it really says.

Matthew 6:5-6: "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men....when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou has shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret...."

Matthew 6:5-6 " And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and the street corners,so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But whenever you pray,go into your room and shut the door and pray to your father who is in secret, and your father who sees in secret will reward you"

Kinda makes you wonder.

Matt.6:9-13; 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

It says to pray in the closet, in secret. This does not mean people should not ever pray in public. Only that they should also pray in private.
Some people pray in public to be seen and save their private time for themselves. They are not real Christians, they are hypocrites. What this passage really means is those who pray just in public to be seen as holy are not fooling anyone. And those who pray to themselves are making God happy because they are being true to their faith. It's not that difficult to understand.

It's definitely not saying that Christians should pray to themselves and not let anyone see them pray, ever. Especially since there are numerous references to prayer with others in the bible. Especially since Jesus said not to deny him because he'll deny you to his father... or something like that.

And I'm pretty sure you were going to preach to poor Jack, you seem like the type to preach to people who don't believe exactly as you do.
