Will you always make time (or at least a conscious effort), to talk to/see/be with a "potential girlfriend" or someone that you are interested in, even when you're swamped with work/school/responsibilities?
If you only contact her every so often, does it necessarily mean you are stringing her along and have no desire to be with her?

If it means I will fail or get fired, the girl can wait. I would expect her to do the same if the tables were turned.

Well i would say yes. you would make an effort, however the girl may not always see that effort.

As for the 2nd question, I guess it would depend on what he is saying when he contacts you. It may not mean no desire, but it might mean its not that serious to him.

Depends on how much of a work load I have.

Gotta pay the bills and all that jazz.

well with me and my ex gf, I had always put her first.

even when I had homework of my own.
I would always put it aside and help her on hers.
I would always try to find time to talk to her even when I can't or don't have to.

I don't know about other guys.

but as for me, I'm not whipped, but I'm just madly in love with her.
