No, It makes sense to research what you believe and there is way more than one book to it. There are all manner of things to be researched IF you actually want to have a clue what is going on.

It is like anything else. You don`t become a brain surgeon just by reading one medical book.. You don`t become a Chef with one cookbook.

There are over 600 writings, (records, census, tax) records and certainly a whole genealogy as well as the history of the various parts of the world involved. And tons of archeology findings to be researched. BEFORE, you begin to figure out anything.

Do you think seminary students only have the one book? How presumptuous of you.

{:-) Peace & god bless from Texas. <><

Actually I find it more presumptuous that you would have that opinion! LOL anyways God gives us all a chance to believe on and IN HIM and if you choose not to I'm sorry I'll be praying for you. As for me and my house we WILL serve and Love the Lord with all our hearts souls and minds. The Bible is the only book I put any belief in believe that. I believe it from the very first word to the very last word and one day I you will too I just hope it is not to late for you by then God Bless You my friend!

Hello,
This "Single Book" contains 66 separate Books that were written by more than 40 different writers over a 1600 year period. There were 400 years between the Testaments also. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,

It's all how you look at it. I believe some of what I read but I keep in mind that it not something that's come from directly from God. Your suppose to get a one on one relationship with God to understand him and how he works. Don't trust someone else's opine about God when you can he your own experience with him.

Confucius says: It is better not to read the book than believing every word in the book.

Isn't it strange that God did not put his name as the author? How can you be sure that the Bible is God's words?

No. The Bible is revealed by God, and inspired by God. It is the Word of God. The Bible is the best gift God has given to man. All the good the Savior gave to the world was communicated through this book. But for it we could not know right from wrong. All things most desirable for man's welfare, here and hereafter, are to be found portrayed in it. (Abraham Lincoln)

You read the book but it is prayer and seeking God that enables a life to become overshadowed by the Spirit of God. That Spirit reveals the will of God.

People who follow the book and deny the supernatural power of God...cannot know the will of God.

Yes it is! Very very presumptious. It's even worse when you don't read the entire book and you still claim to understand the will of god..

Ha! The Bible isn't one book, it's a collection of many books and writings!( :p)But, in general, I believe the Biblical writings express a sort of universal will of God, that God has compassion for the poor, "the widows and orphans," and that it's "God's will" that we should love our neighbor as ourselves and seek to walk humbly with God.

If god were to say in a giant voice that everyone all over the world could hear "I've written my will in this book", then it wouldn't be, but that didn't happen.
