I am not the skinniest person in the world. I sincerely need to lose weight. Many diets have not worked for me. I do like "raw" vegetables. There is much bulk in them and I get the true nutritional value from eating them this way. Believe me, once I eat them, I am thoroughly filled. Try it, you just might like it. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless.

This might sound moronic, but I always heard that overeating stretches your stomach so you need more food to feel full. If you overeat at dinner, maybe you're stretching the stomach all at once rather than eating like smaller meals more often. You should really eat a good breakfast, drink lots of water, and eat at least 6 small meals/healthy snacks per day. I eat every couple of hours in smaller amounts to keep energized and keep my metabolism at a steady rate. Just make sure you're eating healthy snacks, cause it won't matter how often or not you eat if it's all junk.

Are you eating well during the day? Do you start the day with a good breaky? Veggies digest quickly so you should eat a good quality protien with your meal. If you want a low calorie way to fill up try 2-3 tsp of psyllium husks with warm water. They will swell tripple the size and make you feel really full. They are full of fibre and may also absorb fats from a meal if taken before hand.

Try eating more protein and complex carbs. Things like chicken, fish, tuna, lean meats, almonds, non-fat milk, oatmeal, wheat bread, yogurt, eggs, etc. Focus on these types of foods, they'll keep you full longer. Veggies by themselves just won't do it. In addition, try eating six small meals a day and incorporate protein into all your meals. Eat something around every three hours or so. Veggies are great, but make sure you are eating lean protein with dinner. Remember that protein takes longer for your body to digest, leaving you feeling fuller longer. You may also want to try eating a complex carb after dinner, such as an apple. It's high fiber will also leave you feeling full.

Veggies, for all their healthy goodness, don't make me feel full for very long either. If I want to make sure I'm not going to be hungry an hour later, I eat something with a significant amount of protein and/or fat in it.

Do you eat a balanced breakfast and lunch as well? If you don't eat all day and then expect to be satisfied after one meal you will feel the need to eat after supper. If you eat a lot of pasta or rice, or other starchy foods you will also feel quite hungry after a short period of time.

For snacks you can try rice cakes, pickles, maybe a piece of bread with peanut butter, that's really filling. Dinner you need more protein, as in meat!

You get hungry after you eat because your pancreas is making insulin to digest your food. This drop cause hunger. Could also be boredom during the evening.
